Mechanism to generate the music in the long term
A prototype of a simplified version of the mechanism which will be generating longplayer into the unfolding years can now be seen and heard working at the lighthouse. We are now starting to work towards the 'real thing', which means that we will have to raise funds for a feasibility study first. There is a lot of work to be done, but once it will be completed it will be a mind-blowing sound-machine. We are currently discussing a possible site near Glasgow, but are open for any good suggestions. So if you have an idea as to where the machine (which will be vast) could be installed, please let us know.

How the music works

How the music works
The music is generated by computer playing six loops taken from a pre-recorded 20 minute-20 second composition, each of which is of a different pitch and advances at a different speed. The constant shifting of these layers creates ever-changing textures and harmonies. The instrumentation in the source music is primarily Tibetan singing bowls of various sizes.

Coming soon ! More detailed section on the music.
