interactions 2000
An extensive interaction programme was carried out during 2000. Most of the major London Arts colleges and several schools, disabled and community groups participated in the programme and experienced Longplayer at its Trinity Buoy Wharf site.
The KEEPING TIME series of four talks last summer addressed issues related to Science, Interconnectivity and the Future, Sound, Music and Duration, The Long Now clock and Architecture, Sustainability and Built Environment.
An 'Artist-at-large', Tim Millar, worked at the lighthouse over several months in 2000, which culminated in a series of evening events related to gravity and time, entitled 'Newton's Fruit'.
We are currently preparing to continue both programmes, the Longplayer INTERACTIONS and KEEPING TIME, in 2002. As a part of this we will encourage schools and colleges to install their own listening posts.
