The theme of this year’s Rainy Days Festival of contemporary music is ‘extremes’.
Sounding out the extreme limits of humanity’s concept of time by playing across a millenium, Longplayer will feature as a listening post in the Grand Foyer of Philharmonie Luxembourg throughout the festival, from 20th-24th November.
The festival – curated by composer Catherine Kontz – features radical performances by the likes of Rubbish Music; in C//20 sonneurs performed by twenty bagpipers; Annea Lockwood’s Piano Garden; as well as Catherine Kontz’s own 12-hour durational work performed by mezzo-soprano Rosie Middleton.
Tickets will be released today.
